Lovehand | Bodywork Focused on the Core: Abdomen & Pelvis

One-to-one sessions and courses in Xindian, New Taipei, combining abdominal massage, pelvic release, and advanced Thai bodywork to support relaxation, breathing, and deeper internal awareness.

Lovehand is the bodywork practice of Gyan Amin, with over 24 years of experience. The work focuses on the body’s core - the abdomen and pelvis - areas that often hold deep tension and restriction.

Sessions use slow, attentive, hands-on techniques to help the body release and reconnect with breath, sensation, and natural movement. Many clients come for physical reasons such as tightness, stress, or discomfort. Others are drawn by the possibility of experiencing emotional release and deeper internal movement - sometimes described as the flow of life energy within the body.

Training is offered one-on-one or for small groups by arrangement.

Sessions take place in Xindian, New Taipei, by appointment.

Tightness in your abdomen, numbness or immobility in your pelvis, or a sore lower back, these are common experiences today.

This session focuses on the body’s core, the abdomen and pelvis, where tension often originates. It is a hands-on process using slow, attentive touch, combined with breath and guided awareness, to support the release of holding patterns and restoring natural movement.

Many people come for physical reasons such as tightness, stress, or discomfort. Others are drawn to a deeper internal experience in the body that can include strong sensations, emotional expression, and the movement of life energy within the body.

The session creates a structured and supportive space where these experiences can arise safely, without force. Rather than directing a specific outcome, the work follows the body’s natural responses moment by moment.

This can range from simple relaxation to more intense internal processes. Whatever emerges is held within a clear and professional framework, with attention to safety, presence, and integration.

Gyan Amin is a bodywork practitioner with over 24 years of experience, specializing in hands-on work focused on the abdomen and pelvis.

His approach is based on direct, attentive touch, working with the body’s natural responses through breath, sensitivity, and tension release. Over the years, he has developed a clear and grounded method that combines abdominal work, pelvic release, and Thai bodywork.

Originally from Israel, Gyan began his path by stepping away from a conventional life direction and traveling extensively through countries such as England, Germany, Japan, India, and Thailand. During this time, he studied a wide range of bodywork and touch-based practices, which gradually shaped his current work.

Lovehand is the result of this long-term development, a focused and practical approach to bodywork that emphasizes presence, safety, and a direct connection to the body.

Gyan teaches abdominal massage and pelvic release courses, Thai massage trainings, and healing workshops in Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Israel, the Caribbean, and Thailand.

Gyan lives in Taiwan with his beloved Taiwanese wife, Punita. He offers a professional and respectful space where clients can relax, reconnect with their bodies, and experience a deeper sense of freedom and integration.

Q&A

How does a session with Gyan differ from a standard massage or physical therapy?

Like a standard massage, the session often begins with relaxation, but it does not stop there. I work with conscious touch, breath, and guided awareness, with a focus on the abdomen and pelvis, areas where many people hold long-term tension.

Rather than focusing only on muscles or surface relaxation, the work follows the body’s responses more deeply. For some people, this includes physical release. For others, it may involve internal sensations, emotional expression, or the movement of life energy.

The process is not about fixing a specific problem, but about allowing the body to reorganize and release patterns in its own way. Many people experience a greater sense of ease, space, and connection in their body.

What should I expect during a one-on-one session with Gyan?

You enter a space built on presence, safety, and respect. There is no judgment.

We begin with a short conversation to understand your needs, followed by simple guidance to connect with your breath and body. The session then continues as hands-on work, using touch, breath, and awareness to support the body’s natural responses.

Each session is different. It may feel deeply relaxing, or it may bring more intensity in the form of strong sensations, emotions, or internal movement. The process is guided and supported throughout, with attention to safety and pacing.

Is a session with Gyan effective for chronic lower back or pelvic discomfort?

Many people come with ongoing discomfort in the lower back, abdomen, or pelvis.

In some cases, these patterns are connected not only to physical tension, but also to long-term habits in posture, breathing, or how the body holds stress. By working with the body directly, it is sometimes possible to access areas that may not respond easily to more mechanical approaches alone.

People often report a reduction in tension and an increased sense of ease after sessions, although each experience is individual.

I find traditional talk therapy difficult or ineffective. Can this approach still support me?

For some people, working through the body offers a different entry point.

Instead of focusing on verbal analysis, the session brings attention to sensation, breath, and present-moment experience. This can allow certain patterns to shift without needing to explain or analyze them in detail.

Some people experience this as a more direct or embodied way of working with themselves.

Is this suitable if I have no experience with bodywork or somatic practices?

Yes. No prior experience is needed.

The session is adapted to where you are, and guided at a pace that feels safe and accessible. I meet you exactly where you are. The session is curated specifically for you, with a focus on gradually reconnecting with your body in a natural and comfortable way.

How many sessions should I plan for to feel a lasting shift?

Some people notice changes after a single session. At the same time, patterns held in the body often take time to shift.

A series of 3 to 5 sessions can allow the process to deepen and stabilize. This gives space for the body to adapt and for changes to become more integrated over time.
